As Freemasonry slowly comes out of its enforced hibernation during the pandemic, we are delighted to hear of three promotions and appointments awarded to some of our members:

• our Secretary, Howard, has been promoted to Senior London Grand Rank (in the Metropolitan Grand Lodge of London) after many years of loyal service to the OO Lodge;
• our Immediate Past Master, Graham, has received his first Provincial appointment, as Past Provincial Junior Grand Deacon (in the Masonic Province of Gloucestershire), marking his service to that Province and his mother lodge Vassar-Smith; and
• our Director of Ceremonies, Philip, has been appointed as Visiting Officer to two lodges within Metropolitan Grand Lodge, on completion of his year of Active office as Metropolitan Junior Grand Deacon.
